If you've got a toddler or preschooler at home, then chances are you've heard about the young vampire girl who's moved from Transylvania to Pennsylvania with her family that runs a Bed & Breakfast for monsters. Vampirina is just an ordinary monster girl looking to fit in with her new, non-monster friends. While learning about human culture, she realizes that while although some things are different, she's still just like all the other kids and they accept her for who she is.
Oooo... spooky! |
Because the particular set I obtained only included the two characters, I made it a point to also obtain the Fangtastic Friends Set for this review.

With all these additions, it definitely adds to the fun and possibilities a child might get with the Scare B&B Set.
One thing to note would be that straight of of the box the Scare B&B is a blank canvas. That is, you will need to put all the detailing stickers on yourself. I would recommend applying them ahead of time if choosing to gift this set so that your child can waste no time jumping right in to playtime.
While still being a simple set, the Scare B&B is not without its interactive parts. For example, the large crystal-like spiderweb staircase that can flip to take you between the first, second, and third floors. There's also some haunted, floating food in the kitchen, a hidden bed compartment behind the bookshelf, a rocking record player with rotating dance floor, and a tower that that can change height, among others.
In general, the set is very colorful, easy to put together, and simple enough to play with that any toddler or preschooler could have hours of fun imagining they are inside the Scare B&B.
